My research background includes degrees in Atmospheric Science and Civil Engineering/Hydrology, and I am working toward a PhD in Hydrology at the University of Washington.

Through past work, I've forecast winter weather and mountain meteorology for both general public recreationists and water resource applications through a public blog and work at the Center for Western Weather and Water Extremes at UC San Diego, respectively.

Beyond research, I have extensive experience communicating science via news media and as an avalanche educator. In 2026, I was recognized as the Avalanche Awareness Instructor of the Year by the Northwest Avalanche Center and won the David Miller Prize for Best Student Poster at the joint Western/Eastern Snow Conference for my research and communication skills.
